Subject: [jericho_discussion] 06/22: Leonard Peltier's health has improved

The word is that Leonard has received the necessary tests and is feeling much better. He
hasn't suffered a heart attack, but is under enormous stress. He sends his thanks to everyone who called/e-mailed the prison.

This occurrence... Well, it is a reminder that Leonard is the one living the nightmare--every single day.

Let's redouble our efforts on Leonard's behalf this week. Time for everyone to move out of the living room and into the streets. You can download and print a parole letter at
http://www.FreePeltierNow.org

Get everyone you know... oh, hey, even folks you don't know... to sign a letter.

Remember that letters must arrive at the U.S. Parole Commission no later than July 1.

Time to set him free... Because it is the RIGHT thing to do.

Health Alert: Peltier In Need of Medical Assistance

Forwarded on behalf of the Leonard Peltier Defense Offense Committee

Kari Ann Cowan, Peltier's niece, reported tonight (Friday) from the prison at Lewisburg that Leonard may have suffered a heart attack.

"He had hard time breathing. He was in his cell and had an ache in his chest. He was kinda scared he was having a heart attack. He raised his hands, breathed slowly and finally felt better."

We need to call the prison and ask them to get Leonard to the hospital in Rochester (MN) as soon as possible for a check up.

Be polite and courteous and express your concern for his health and welfare. We gotta step up.

Make reference to Leonard Peltier #89637-132.

Call Warden Scott Dodrill at (570) 523-1251.
